Inspiration

write

So I mentioned in my last post that I felt stuck. I’d reached a point where the next peak was a ways away and I had no idea how to move forward. My writing buddy Andrea told me to just write. She gave some great advice on improvements to what I did have written and advised me to turn off my internal editor (which for some reason I keep calling internal elevator haha).

Yesterday I took her advise to heart and began writing. Even though I had no idea where this chapter would go I wrote. After a little while, the muse came and I received some incredible inspiration. Though this chapter is not yet finished, I wrote over  1,000 words yesterday.

If you’re struggling with your writing, just write. As Andrea reminded me, first drafts are not supposed to be perfect. You can do it!
