Context

So I’m writing a scene where my MC overhears a conversation between 2 other characters but I wasn’t sure what all she should hear. The part of the conversation is important since things can be misinterpreted when they are heard out of context.

To help with this, I started writing the scene from one of the other character’s perspective and am now at a position where I can figure out when my MC hears bits of the conversation.

The more you know about what’s going on in your novel, even if those scenes are not in it, the deeper you’re writing will be.

Change perspectives when you don’t know what to do.

It will make all the difference.
