10-Minute Blitz

Staying focused while writing can be difficult, especially with internet distractions. I read a suggestion on a blog that I follow to set a timer for 10 minutes and use that time to only write.

Once the timer goes off, stop writing.

Even if you’re in the middle of a sentence, stop.

Set another timer and do something else for the next 10 minutes.

Then you do it again.

I can’t believe how much it helped me.

I did this on Saturday and in an hour and a half of 10 minutes on/10 minutes off, I’d written over 1,500 words, passed the 15,000 word mark for Sapphyre, and passed the 10,000 word mark for the month of January.

If you’re looking for a way to stay focused and be more productive, try this out. Maybe it will work for you too 🙂
